The Ironman name has become synonymous with the pinnacle of athletic endurance. Ironman and Ironman 70.3 finishers proudly lay claim to being among the fittest athletes in the world.

Ironman events consist of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112-mile bike and a 26.2 mile marathon run. There are 22 Ironman distance qualifiers for the Ford Ironman World Championship, which is held in Kona, Hawaii every October.

Ironman 70.3 races include a 1.2 mile swim, a 56-mile bike and a 13.1 mile run -- those distances add up to 70.3 miles. Athletes from around the world compete in one of the 31 qualifiers for the Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 held in Clearwater, Florida every November.

Ironman 70.3 events that serve as "dual" qualifiers with slots for both the Ford Ironman World Championship and Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3, include Ford Ironman 70.3 California,
St. Croix 70.3, Ford Ironman 70.3 Hawaii, Eagleman 70.3, Ironman 70.3 Buffalo Springs Lake and Ironman 70.3 Monaco. In additon, the Antwerp 70.3 has qualifying slots for the Ford Ironman World Championship for athletes with a disability.
