Ironman 70.3 Austria St. Pölten/ Vienna
New race on the Ironman 70.3 series to take place on June 2, 2007

Set close to Vienna, Ironman 70.3 Austria St. Pölten/ Vienna will take place for the first time on June 2, 2007. The race site is just 50 minutes drive from Austria's beautiful capital, making it an easy site to get to.
Athletes will enjoy a spectacular race through the wine-country of Lower Austria and the scenic Wachau region along the Donau River.
The race will start and finish at the Regional-Sportschool St.Pölten. The first of six waves will start at noon. A maximum of 1,500 competitors will be accepted for the event, which will finish at the St. Pölten tennis centre, world famous for the ATP tournament it hosts every year. The athletes will pass the tennis center six times during the half-marathon run, which will make this an outstanding event for spectators to watch. There will be 75 qualifying slots for the Ford IRONMAN World Championship 70.3 in Clearwater.
