For the first time ever, athletes who complete a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run will have the unique opportunity to qualify for a world championship at that distance. About the Race

Qualifier for Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3The Lake Stevens Ironman 70.3 Triathlon will start from the public boat launch in downtown Lake Stevens, Washington. This community has hosted several national and regional NCAA rowing championships from this exact location. The water is clean and clear and athletes should expect water temperatures around 70’s degrees for race weekend.

The 58 mile bike course will be a double loop course that is moderately hilly through some of the most beautiful terrain in the Pacific Northwest. The bike course aid station will offer fresh water bottles, energy bars, energy drink, medical assistance and portable toilet facilities. The bike course will be clearly marked with directional signs and mile markers at every five miles.

The 13.1 mile run course will be a double loop that will take competitors out of the downtown into the surrounding community for the final leg the triathlon. The run course will offer aid stations at each mile complete with water, energy drinks, energy bars and portable toilets.
