McCormack Races at Monaco Ironman 70.3 Chris McCormack will race in the prestigious Monaco Ironman 70.3 event on September 2nd, and he will do it again in 2008. "Every race I compete in, I do so to win," he says about the challenging race in the Principality that takes part on much of the Formula 1 Circuit.

McCormack says: "The race has really interested me for many years and for a venue there is nothing like it on earth. Monte Carlo is probably the most famous area of the European Riviera and this race is really marque in that sense. I am really excited about racing here and the course looks challenging and tough. I think I will be very successful ... and look forward to the challenge against a solid field and an equally tough course."

Chris McCormack won the 1997 ITU Triathlon World hampionship and the 1997 ITU World Cup thumbs_up_IMOZ_2006_crop_prime.jpgSeries. McCormack intends to use the Monaco Ironman as a build up for his race at the Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona.

The Monaco Ironman 70.3 is the only European race distributing slots for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship and slots for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii.
