World Triathlon Corporation Announces Final Standings for 2005 Ford Ironman World Championship

WTC recently received results from drug tests completed at the 2005 Ford Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and all test results were negative. Therefore, WTC will now finalize professional standings. The 2005 event served as the 16th consecutive year of drug testing at the world championship. USADA, contracted by WTC, tested a total of 20 professional athletes; the largest number of athletes tested to date. All male and female athletes placing 1st- 10th participated in drug testing at the world championship event and will now be receiving prize money. The new prize purse and professional standings are outlined below.
